Take the Eek Out of Steek!
A “steek” is a column of stitches added to tubular knitting for the purpose of cutting the tube to create an opening. Steeking can be a frightening experience when done for the first time. But never fear! We will work through it together, step by step, taking the “eek” out of steek!
Participants will be required to bring:
● knitted item to steek, if desired (optional: can be a stockinette stitch knitted tube approximately 10 cm diameter)
● scrap yarn
Instructor will provide:
● scissors, crochet hook, sewing machine
● knitted items to steek
● Workshop booklets
